EME 4402 INTRODUCTION TO COMPUTERS IN EDUCATION (2)
Introduction to microcomputer technology and its function in the classroom to augment the teaching and learning processes. Topics include the critical evaluation of educational software; conceptualizing uses of computers in the classroom in terms of computer-directed instruction, computer-enhanced instruction, and computer-managed instruction; understanding hardware; using and applying commercial courseware, general applications software (word processors, database managers, etc.), and disk operating systems.
EME 5403 MICROCOMPUTERS IN EDUCATION (3)
A survey course designed to introduce practicing teachers to microcomputer technology and its function in the classroom to augment the teaching and learning process. Objectives include the use and evaluation of educational software, classroom use of computers, instructional computing research, generic applications software (word processors, bdatabase managers, etc.), programming, disk operating systems, and microcompmuter hardware.
