State University System Correspondence Courses

The State University System of Florida (SUS) offers over 125 university-credit courses by correspondence, incorporating courses from academic departments at USF, FSU, and UF. The University of Florida Department of Independent Study by Correspondence afministers all correspondence instruction for Florida's State University System (SUS). Florida's program of Independent Study by Correspondence offers well over 150 courses by computer, fax or regular mail to people in Florida, the United States and foreign countries. These courses are grouped into three categories: college credit, continuing Professional educatio, and high school credit. USF considers independent study by correspondence as resident credit. Grades are not transferable. Exception: grades for courses taken by Cooperative Education students while on a training period are transferred and will be used in computing the USF GPA.
