The courses may be interdisciplinary and need not be sequential. Courses in the Social Sciences are likely to: Provide opportunities to study social groups, institutions, and organizations, and their context. Have a theoretical and empirical focus on individuals in relation to others and their environment. Formulate basic questions and inquiry about the nature of social life through both interpretive and systematic analyses. Address a broad area with concern for both methodological and substantive issues.
