Foundations of Knowledge and Learning Core Curriculum

Program Requirements

The Core is divided into two parts:

  1. 36 credit hours (usually 12 courses) of lower-level General Education courses, usually completed by the end of your sophomore year.
  2. 6 credit hours (usually 2 courses) of upper-level course requirements, usually taken during the junior or senior year.

Fine Arts view courses 3 credit hours
Humanities view courses 6 credit hours
Human and Cultural Diversity in a Global Context view courses 3 credit hours
Mathematics view courses 6 credit hours OR 3 credit hours
Quantiative Reasoning view courses   3 credit hours
Natural Science - Physical view courses 3 credit hours
Natural Science - Life view courses 3 credit hours
Social and Behavioral Sciences view courses 6 credit hours
* - Six credit hours of the above coursework must be completed in Human Historical Context and Process courses. See FAQ for more details.
