SASS - USF Codes & Grades

USF Codes:

  • CL = code assigned to CLEP credit (Note: CLN = zero CLEP credit)
  • AP = code assigned to AP credit (Note: APN = zero AP credit)
  • CW = code assigned to waived courses
  • RG = code assigned to courses taken in the current semester
  • FC = code assigned to courses registered for the next semester

USF Grades:

  • Grades A B C D F S U and - are standard USF grades.

  • Effective Fall 2000, graduate & undergraduate grades will be assigned quality points in the Grade Point Average (GPA) grading system as follows:

    A+ 4.00
    A 4.00
    A- 3.67
    B+ 3.33
    B 3.00
    B- 2.67
    C+ 2.33
    C 2.00
    C- 1.67
    D+ 1.33
    D 1.00
    D- 0.67
    F 0.00

Note: Faculty have the option to use or not use plus (+) or minus (-) grades.

  • Grades I, F, U, M, N, FF, IF, IU, MF, MU, W, WC, and Z earn 0.00 hours; only F, FF, MF and IF grades are computed into the USF GPA.

  • Grades followed by a T (example: DT) have 0.00 hours earned. These are grade forgiven courses; they are not computed into the USF GPA.
