The meeting was called to order at 3:12 p.m.

- Discussion and action on proposals
- Reactivate Major and Minor in Interdisciplinary Classical Civilizations
The ICC Major/Minor is intended for students who wish to become familiar with aspects of the Classical heritage of Western Civilization. Following discussion, the reactivation of the ICC Major (33-38 hours), the ICC Major with Honors (39 hours), and the ICC Minor (15 hrs. min.) was approved.
- GEY 2000 Introduction to Gerontology
This course was previously qualified as a General Education-Social Sciences under its previous GEY 3000 designation. As with all "introductory" courses, the course was reclassified as GEY 2000, at which time the course was dropped from the Gen Ed list. Following discusion, this course was re-instated as a General Education-Social Sciences course.
- GEY 4641 Death and Dying
This course is being submitted to add its qualification under the General Education requirements of the Social Sciences. Following discussion, and the suggestion that a non-substantive change to the 3000 level may benefit the course, this course was approved as meeting General Education-Social Studies.
- GEY 4647 Ethical and Legal Issues in Aging
This course is being submitted to add its qualification under both the General Education requirements of the Social Sciences, and also as an Exit Course under Major Works and Major Issues. Following discussion and the submittal of a revised syllabus with a revised set of student objectives, this course was approved as meeting General Education-Social Sciences and as an Exit Course under Major Works and Major Issues.
- REL 4215 Ancient Israel and the Development of the Hebrew Bible
This course involves an exploration of the formation and composition of the Hebrew Bible in light of the religious, social, political, and historical developments in antiquity. Following discussion, this course was approved as a new course meeting Gordon Rule, Literature and Writing, and Major Works and Major Issues certifications.
