The Undergraduate Council members introduced themselves.
Chairman Pendyala explained the function of the Undergraduate Council.
Dr. Sullins gave a brief description of several proposals that may come before the council this year:
- USF is among the most restrictive of the state universities regarding baccalaureate graduation application submission deadlines. There may be a proposal to accept baccalaureate graduation applications after the deadline so that students may graduate in a timely manner.
- There may be a proposal for a B.A. of Applied Sciences. This would be a 2-year degree with the A.S. student coming into the university with 60 credit hours.
- There may be a proposal to change the current procedure of submitting end of term grades. The current procedure is for a data entry clerk to enter the grades manually. The proposal would change the procedures to faculty using a grade scanning process.
