The meeting was called to order at 3:10 p.m.

1. The minutes of November 28, 2005 were approved as submitted.

2. Announcements/Discussions

3. New course/curriculum proposals

   • CDA 4214 CMOS-VLSI Design
     This course covers analysis and design of CMOS processing technology, CMOS logic and circuit design, layout timing and delay, and power and thermal issues. CMOS transistor theory. VLSI system design, case studies and rapid prototyp chip design. Following discussion and pending an updated syllabus, this course was approved.

   • CDA 4409 Field Programmable Gate Array System Design & Analysis
     This course covers analysis and design of digital systems using VHDL simulation. Provides experience with field programmable logic gates and gate arrays. Introduces the requirements for field programmable systems; testing of circuitry, and analysis of system design. Following discussion, this course was approved.

   • HSC 3032 Human Structure and Function
     This course is designed to introduce the structural levels of the body beginning with chemicals and progressing through cells, tissues, organs and systems with emphasis on homeostasis, stress and feedback systems. Not restricted to majors. Following discussion, this course was approved as a new course meeting Natural Science certification.
