2. New Course/curriculum proposals: tabled for next meeting

3. Discussion Items/Topics:

   • "Charge"---Responsibility of UGC on approving academic program----- proposed by Dr. Larry Thomson.

   • New Core Curriculum------------Proposed By Dr. Dell deChant.

   • How implementation of ALC assessment is going---- proposed by Dr. Celina Jozsi.

   • Concern with keeping enough resources available for undergraduate programs---- proposed by Dr. Celina Jozsi.

   • Registration system improvements to better ensure efficient use of resources and availability of courses for students---- proposed by Dr. Celina Jozsi.
   • Potential for standardized "clickers" for the classroom---- proposed by Dr. Celina Jozsi.

   • Potential improvements to gen ed "written communication" component to avoid duplication of effort in the promotion of yet more written communication skills at the upper level courses at the opportunity cost of technical skills in various disciplines-----proposed by Dr. Celina Jozsi.
