Present: Celina Jozsi, Dell DeChant, Dewey Rundus, Larry Thompson, Nancy Tyson, Sara Goodman, Sandra Cadena, Sharon Geiger, Sherman Dorn, Tom Brantley.
Absent: Alecia Peacock, Natalie Shultz, Steven Reader.
Guests: Janet Moore.
The meeting was called to order at 3:13 p.m.
- The minutes of January 22, 2007 will be revised and approved by email.
- Discussions:
- Undergraduate Council's Charge
- The 'Charge to the Undergraduate Council was revised. The council members decided to change the second sentence of the charge to read "Responsibilities include review of the undergraduate academic policies and existing or proposed curricular programs. The Council shall advise the President, Provost, and the Dean of Undergraduate Studies on the development of undergraduate academic programs of the university. The Council shall aid them in developing, reviewing and updating the University's statement of academic goals and objectives."
- The Council also confirmed that the courses it reviews are non General Education Courses and that all General Education courses changes and proposals should be sent to the General Education Council.
- The Council also acknowledged that the course content should be reviewed closely at the college level.

- Film Studies - Certificate---------assigned to Nancy Tyson
- Visual and Performing Arts Studies - Certificate-----assigned to Tom Brantley
The next meeting will be Monday, February 26th, 2007. The meeting was adjourned at 4:45 p.m.
