The meeting was called to order at 3:10pm.
- The minutes of January 27, 1997 were approved as submitted.
- Announcements:
- An ad hoc committee will be set-up to review a proposal to revise USF's Academic Dishonesty policies.
- An ad hoc committee will set set-up to review several USF academic policies and how they relate to the new Banner system and to review a proposal to change the Final Exam Policy.
- Discussion and Action on Proposals
- ISM 4233 Information System Interface Design
The course was approved after review of the changes made by the Department to meet the recommendations of the Council members. The grading system listed on the first course proposal will be added to the syllabus.
- CCJ 4109 Critical Issues in Policing
After discussion, this course was approved. The Department was complemented for providing a complete and well-written course proposal.
- AML 3453 Historical Perspectives in Early American Literature
The English department responded to the suggestions of the Council by making changes to AML 3452. The faculty member has an e-mail account; the course includes 3 live review sessions on campus; audiotapes have been lengthened; and the course has received concurrence from the departments of History and Humanities and American Studies. Following brief discussion, the course was approved.
- Distribution and assignment of new course proposals, etc.
